Armenia: Agro Prom opens 10 ha tomato greenhouse

With the 20-hectare expansion, an investment of 9.7 billion drams, approximately 23 million euros, has been made. For that investment, it's not just a greenhouse that's realized: the facility is equipped with modern technologies, ensuring maximum automation where possible, and supplemental lighting is used to compensate for short daylight and low light levels in winter months.
Founded in 2015 by Hayk Hunanyan, who's also the CEO of Agro Prom, the company has already realized several rose greenhouses. The total greenhouse, which spans more than 10 hectares, is projected to produce over 6,000 tons of tomatoes each year, the majority of which will be exported.
